This morning, several of the students from Geneva had the opportunity to sit down with the Mayor of Peje. It was a great honor to meet with him, the minister of Cultural Affairs & Education, as well as a few other city officals.
During our time with the Mayor, he told us he appreciated our coming to participate in the many projects around Peje/Pec, invited us to return to work with the municipality at any time, and presented us with a collection of poetry written by children from the local schools.
It was a great exprience for all of us to meet with the Mayor and others. The students did a great job representing the international schools of Geneva, Interyouth, their diverse nationalities, and their families. I am sure you would have each been very proud!
